Real Men Drive Minivans chronicles the adventures in fatherhood of PJ Mullen, a stay at home dad, who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife, son and daughter. He is an amateur chef, wannabe author, blogging fool, recovering football addict, prolific air drummer and The Stig in a minivan.
He began blogging to start a conversation on all the things that were important to him. Alternating between attempts at humor and being insightful, he likes to talk about his life as a dad, his responsibilities as a husband, the failed career path that got him where he is today and how a dad’s place is in the kitchen.
PJ writes a weekly column on food and cooking for Digital Dads and is a member of the Bumble Bee Foods “Bee Squad”. Occasionally, he can also be found talking about his culinary adventures at peaches en risotto.
Previously, he contributed to Man of the House, a Proctor and Gamble media property, was a a member of the Shared Tastes Panel at Ready Set Eat, a ConAgra media property, and wrote a music column over at Dad Blogs (now Dad Exchange).
Since starting this blog in November 2008 he has been asked to review books on fatherhood and has done product reviews for Sony, Red Envelope, Conair and Lands End.
