Fatherhood, just as good the second time around

Brevity has never been my strong suit. However, when Chalkboard Dad unveiled The Father 100 (no, it’s not a NASCAR race), I felt compelled to give it a shot

Life as a status symbol?

Towards the end of April I was contacted by a writer who was going to be doing an article on stay at home dads for Marie Claire magazine. Since I’m interested in doing whatever I can to paint stay at home dads in a positive light, I accepted the interview request.

Our two year old son is a constant source of entertainment. Like most toddlers he is very inquisitive and eager to explore his ever changing and expanding world. While these expeditions frequently leave my wife and I exasperated, we do our best to see the humor in his words and actions.

There are no words

Very infrequently am I ever at a loss for words. Anyone who has come around these parts with any regularity know I can be fairly verbose when the moment strikes me. Today, however, is not one of those days.

How not to give a toddler medicine

I don’t think that word means what he thinks it means

Lately little man has been acquiring quite the vocabulary, so much so that I have to think twice about what comes out of my mouth for fear that he will repeat it. For the longest time the only things he really said were were ‘kitty’, ‘mum’ and ‘spoon’ and I began to get a little [...]
