Our two year old son is a constant source of entertainment.
Like most toddlers he is very inquisitive and eager to explore his ever changing and expanding world. While these expeditions frequently leave my wife and I exasperated, we do our best to see the humor in his words and actions.
Recently, however, I’ve discovered that I may be able to channel his curiosity into more productive endeavors. Specifically, I think he has a future developing future Apple products, if nothing else he certainly has the brand nomenclature down perfectly.
Without further adieu, I introduce to you a number of potential future Apple products that my son will surely have a hand in creating:
The iStuck
Whenever something is my son’s way, or if he can’t get to where he wants to be, he hopelessly relays that “Papa, I stuck. I stuuucccckkk”.
Personally, I think he has realized that market for navigation devices is ripe for the takeover. Also, despite the capabilities of existing devices to provide directions, he’s anticipating that the market yearns for a stand alone GPS device like only Apple can produce.
The iDo
In recent months our son has become fiercely independent. Whenever we are heading out he insists on opening the door and even clicking the latch in his car seat. When I misguidedly attempt to assist in such tasks, I am met with the very forceful “Papa, I do it. I do it.”
I know what you’re thinking, it sounds a little too much like a Palm Pilot circa 1996. Well, for the most part it is, but with that certain Apple flair. I prefer to think of it as an iPhone without the phone, mp3 player or the ability to download apps. Essentially, it is a utilitarian device for those who want the lastest design, yet can’t quite relinquish their stock of legal pads.
The iHold
Not a day goes by that I don’t have something in my hand that little man would prefer were in his. “Papa, I hold it, I hold it.” he proclaims.
What I really think he is saying to me is that he has a great idea for an accessory that will compliment a broad arrange of Apple devices. No unitaskers for little man.
If you think about it, it’s kind of brilliant. When you get home and start using your iPad it would be nice to have an accessory that will also comfortably hold your iStuck that you happened to bring in from the car.
From my vantage point I think it is pretty clear that he has a future as an Apple product developer. All that is really left is to discuss is profit sharing and we won’t accept anything less than a few points off the top.
Mr. Jobs, I’m awaiting your call. You should already have my number, I have one of your phones – the one that doesn’t need a rubber band around the edge to work
