Yes, it’s true, I’ll admit that I am a giant plugin geek. I love checking out all kinds of new tools that enhance the blogging experience. Earlier today I saw a Tweet by Chris Brogan about how you can read his blog on your mobile phone and immediately had to check out the free service he was using to do this.
It’s called Mofuse and if you’ve ever thought you’d like to make your blog easier to read for people on the go I’d definitely give it a try. You get your own mobile domain name for your blog, WordPress users can download a plugin that will help readers visiting your normal URL get automatically redirected to the mobile domain and there are widgets you can place on your site that will text readers a link to your mobile URL.
I’ve set all of these up on my blog and am loving how it works. I don’t know if anyone has ever tried to read RMDM from their iphone or Blackberry, but now thanks to Mofuse they can view the site much more easily. If you have a web enabled mobile device and would like to check it out, RMDM’s mobile URL is http://rmdmmob.mofuse.mobi.
BTW, this is just me being a nerd, I have no vested interested in Mofuse, know anyone there or received anything for this post. I just usually check out everything I see come across in Chris’s stream that is of interest to me, liked this and thought I’d pass this along to anyone that may be interested.
