Look at me, I’m a celebrity!

Recently I was asked to participate in a Dad Q&A interview over at the ItsDADSimple blog.  Jake, the guy running the show over there, is a dad to be and is working hard to prepare for the birth of their child.

He’s got some good stuff over there, especially the updates on the crib he is building.  Yes, building.  He gets all kinds of respect from me for taking on that kind of a project.  Anyway, check out his site, and you can click here to read the interview I did with him.

Thanks to Jake for asking me to be a part of it and I wish him and his wife all the best as they prepare for their child’s arrival.

Dude, nice work! Sorry I haven't been visiting lately but things have been a bit hectic in my world (if you read my latest post as well as some soon-to-be-published ones, you'll see why).

In any case, BUILDING a crib? I had enough trouble putting one together much less building one from scratch. That guy is definitely dedicated. Thing is he's setting the bar too high and now he'll have to continue on that elevated path. Me? I just grunt, sigh and feign exhaustion whenever my wife wants me to put something together that way she never expects too much from me :)

Hey man, good to hear from you. I'm a little behind on my reading, but I did read your touching post to your friend who passed. That was a nice tribute, and, I'm sorry for your loss.

You know, I've done the same thing twice so far and am paying for it. After the first time I cooked for my wife that task officially became mine. And I lost all rights to say I didn't know what I was doing around the house after I helped reframe the interior of my house and laid new hardwoods during our renovations. Oh well. One day I'll learn, but probably not.
