Name that eBook!

Frank Zappa

Frank Zappa via last.fm

I know it’s Tuesday, but I’m not feeling terribly random today.  So, instead of some stream of conscious rambling that would make even less sense than normal, I’m going to turn to you all for help.

A week or so ago I mentioned that I was planning on writing an eBook as a way to celebrate this blogs first anniversary.  The title I gave it at the time was ‘In the RMDM Kitchen’, which is a less than inspired choice to say the least.  Since I’m such a big fan of the crowdsourcing concept, I thought that I ask you to help me narrow down my choices.

I’ve taken my top five title ideas and have created a poll through which you can vote for your favorite.  Also, because I know you’re curious and this isn’t going to be all that scientific anyway, my current favorite is ‘Peaches en Risotto’, mostly because it is a play on a Zappa jazz fusion piece I really dig.  For some reason I always seem to draw inspiration from my music collection whenever I need to come up with a title for something.

If you have an idea you like better than my half baked (pun intended) ideas, please feel free to write in your idea and vote.  And, yes, in the event your idea is chosen I will be offering a 20% commission on this free eBook’s full retail value :)

Dude, don't ask me why but “Orgasmic Gourmet” came to mind. I've never purchased a cook book in my life but I might buy that one.

Ha! I have a few that I've picked up over the years, but I can't tell you the last time I've even looked at them. When I'm not making things up on my own I hit the web.

Tried to work something along the lines of a 'Drive in' or 'Drive through' angle from your RMDM handle – but nothing came. Too early in the morn! Alas.

Happy ebooking!

I've been thinking about doing an e-Book too.

Man, oh man! I would LOVE to be the winner of that 20% profit (: ) but I just can't think of any good books. I saw your link on DC Urban Dad's blog and I came over to say hi. Such a great blog name! You seem like a great dad from that smiling picture in the blog header! Nice to meet you!

Sorry but my suggestion was totally stolen from Arlo Guthrie, but I really like that song. I know it is not the best title but I am giving tribute to Arlo.

Thank you, a friend and I were trying a play on the word 'liftgate' kind of like tailgating I guess. It would probably be more appropriate for an ebook around cooking at sporting events or whatever. After that I kind of abandoned any hope of linking the blog name to the ebook.

Very cool, I would love to read anything you wrote. I'm sure it would be great!

Thank you, that is very kind for you to say. And thanks for stopping by, it is nice to meet you as well.

HA! Too funny. I knew exactly where you were going before I even checked the polling to see the “other” votes. Hey, my favorite is ripped off from a Zappa tune and I frequently 'repurpose' song titles into post titles. I hope you are well.
