I just wanted to post some quick information about the Tylenol recall that was announced today in case you had not seen it. Neil Consumer Healthcare, the makers of Tylenol, is recalling certain lots of Children’s and Infants’ Tylenol due to the presence of bacteria found in an ‘inactive ingredient’ in products manufactured between April and June 2008.
If you have little ones in your home, then there is a good chance you might have Children’s or Infants’ Tylenol hanging around the homestead. When I first saw this release I went and checked our stock. Turns out some of the suspension drops we have are included in the lots being recalled.
To check your stock, visit the Tylenol website for a full list of affected products and lot numbers.
If you have any affected products and have questions, you can call McNeil Consumer Call Care Center at (800) 962-5357.
And, obviously, if you do have some and have recently given it to your child, call your pediatrician. I’m on hold for ours right now.
