Random Thoughts, Now With Kung Fu Grip

KungFuGrip

My little man has a new favorite toy and it is a practical one at that. What is the current object of his playtime affection? Why it is our Swiffer – if it could only be that easy.

Have you seen the new Office Depot commercial about the guy who owns a barbershop? I couldn’t find it on YouTube, but it made me laugh – a lot. Maybe its because my eyes are still crossed from figuring out php and css code edits all weekend, or maybe its because I’m losing it.

Actually, its probably because I’m rapidly turning into a cranky old man. I just don’t get ‘Bruno’. I mute the TV if a promo airs, I’ve never watched Borat and have never found anything that Sacha Baron Cohen has done funny. Normally I’m a cheap laugh, but not this time.

Since little man is a little older the bloated diaper bag that I’m lugging around was getting annoying to the point that I’d leave it home on quick trips out. To fix this situation I ordered up one of those lightweight, utility belt looking things to be more efficient when out and about. Now I totally feel like a life size G.I. Joe action figure, all I’m missing, regrettably, is the kung fu grip.

When do kids learn to blow their noses at least other than on my brand new Polo shirt I found on clearance at a going out of business sale? Well, I thought I was going to have one spit up and snot free shirt available for date nights.

  • i love how kids are entertained by the smallest things. buy them an expensive toy, all they want to do is play with the box. my son likes brooms too

My son loves the Swiffer too! The Swiffer duster, broom and mop. Any time he wants to play with them, I say go for it. He's almost 7 and STILL loves them. If the house is looking dusty (or the floor dirty) I just pull them out and let him see me with them. In no time at all he's happily cleaning the house. Ah, the joys of motherhood. I'm wondering how long this will last.
No Kung Fu grip, huh? I always wondered what the big deal with Kung Fu grip was. Not being a boy, I guess I just didn't get it.

For quick trips out I always did one diaper and a ziplock baggy of wipes. If it was an accident bigger than that we needed to go home anyway.
