This one has a really nice solid probe, whereas most I've used are not. I've used it twice and both times my protein came out perfectly cooked. Who knows if that will continue to be the case, but at first pass it works well. Maybe they'll cut me a royalty check if you pick one up. With baby girl due any day now I could use the extra $.48

Yep, Father's Day is coming up. Another year without my dad who I miss terribly. He was 90 when he died - four years ago. And, he was a REAL MAN though he didn't drive a minivan. I have a good thermometer that I use mostly for pork tenderloins. Nothing worse than some really dry pork. Yours is cooler though not only because it talks, but it has a picture of a cow on it too. Good stuff.
