Easing the at-home to workforce transition

Jumping back into the workforce can be a challenge for a stay-at-home dad. A few tips on best using your time to stay current.

Sugar Milk has Vitamin C in it and stuff

Another post, another NSFW Denis Leary reference. Yeah, I have issues. For those of you that don’t know Sugar Milk author Ron Mattocks or his blog Clark Kent’s Lunchbox, then you should know before upfront that this review is going to be very biased. Ron is one of my favorite bloggers. He is witty, creative [...]

The First Day Back

Today marked my wife’s first day back to work from her maternity leave. It goes without saying that I had a good deal of anxiety heading into today. I stayed up late last night due to the anxiety, plus I was compulsively refreshing the Pepsi website to see how CureJM would fare in the August Refresh Everything contest.

Life as a status symbol?

As men we are programmed to be problem solvers. Most of the time if you come to a guy with a problem, the first ideas that pop into our heads are ways to solve it for you. About two and a half years ago I found myself in a position where there was no solution [...]

How to Cook the Meal and Keep the Girl

Image by puck90 via Flickr This post originally appeared as part of a guest series I’m doing over at Building Camelot on July 21, 2009. OK, so you already have the girl, but in our fast paced lives it is easy to forget what brought the two of you together in the first place. Therefore, [...]
