‘The Crossroads Blipshow’ starts tonight, tune into Twitter @ 9PM, or follow the show over at Twubs.com by searching the hashtag #blipshow!  This post originally appeared on my music column ‘The Crossroads’ over at Dad-Blogs.com on June 29, 2009.

That’s right, I’ve decided to live the dream!

Thanks to all this newfangled technology I’ve become an online DJ and I’d like you all to join in the fun with me. I’m starting The Crossroads Blipshow over on Blip.fm. If you love music and haven’t been to Blip.fm, check it out. You can preview music online and share it with your Twitterverse.

For now I’m going to keep it simple and just play some music, including your song and artist requests. I’m going to start out doing a two hour show every Thursday night around 9pm so we can get participation from both coasts and everywhere in between. As we start to gain some momentum we’ll get some themed shows in the works, but for now it will be open season on music. We may go from rock to pop to country to rap, but it is all good. I want to hear from you – early and often!

How can you place your requests? Easy, just hit me up on Twitter @pjmullen, or send me an email to pj@realmendriveminivans.com before, during or even after a show. If I have any difficulty finding the song or artist you request I’ll let you know as soon as I can. And I’ll save any requests I can’t get to and will use them to open the next show.

If you want to find The Crossroads or Blipshow on Twitter, you can do a quick search on either the #crossroadsmusic or #blipshow hashtags.

Visit The Crossroads Blipshow on Blip.fm: http://blip.fm/thecrossroads

If we’re not friends on Twitter, please look me up: http://twitter.com/pjmullen

As always, thanks for stopping by and I look forward to getting your requests.

Do you have a music question for me? Is there something, or someone, you’d like me to cover? Leave a comment or drop me an email at pj@realmendriveminivans.com so I can work on it for a future article. Also, if you’re new here, consider joining Dad-Blogs and grab the RSS feed so you can get this and all of the other awesome columns delivered fresh directly to you. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the ride!
