In about a month from now we will be packing our bags and heading up to Boston for a whirlwind trip to see my grandmother, go to a wedding and meet my close friends new son. Those are a lot of things to pack into a four day trip, but it will be good to see family and friends.
This trip is also the first occasion where we will need to dress little man up, well, aside from his christening anyway. We had been noodling over what we should get for him to wear when my wife pulled this little corduroy jacket out of his closet.
I had completely forgotten about it, since we received it as a gift from a close friend of my mom. He was maybe three months old and the jacket was 12 month plus. With little man being on the smaller side of the growth chart we tried it on him a few months ago, but he was swimming in it. Think ‘fat guy in a little coat‘, but the complete opposite
Ironically enough we were planning on dressing him in some slacks, a polo and a sweater vest we had just bought on clearance at some overpriced kid’s clothing store. We rarely buy anything at the mall stores unless it is on the deep discount rack, or our friend ‘Clarence’, as my wife and I like to joke.
So, now that this jacket fits him properly, his ensemble is complete and his is ready for his first formal family function.
