Welcome to RMDM

Change in life is inevitable, yet it remains one of the more difficult things to embrace. We can take our time and wait for these changes to come to us, or we can actively campaign for it. Once these changes begin to take hold we can either choose to accept it or act as if our world is collapsing around us.

Over the past few years I have embraced, and in many ways welcomed, the changes that have come my way. I’ve gone from being a singularly focused workaholic disillusioned with his career path to a new father and husband. Having recently had the opportunity to abandon a string of “jobs” that was a poor excuse for a career path to become a stay at home dad my view of the world has been altered in many ways for the better.

So, with this new awareness I started RMDM to chronicle my adventures as a stay at home dad, husband, amateur chef, wannabe author, football fanatic and professional failure. These are all roles that define who I am and what are most important to me in this life. My hope is that you will find this blog funny, insightful and in some ways useful.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ll join me for the ride.
