The 2016 Kia Sedona is offered in five trim levels: L, LX, EX, SX and SX-L (Limited). Seven-passenger seats are standard on the L. Eight-passenger seats (three seats crosswise for the second row) are standard on the LX and EX models. The SX and SX-L revert to a seven-passenger configuration but can be optional for eight.
The L starts with 17-inch alloy wheels, manual double sliding doors, manual front seats with driver height adjustment, Slide-n-Stow sliding second row seats, a split-folding third-row seat , upholstery stain resistant fabric, double glove boxes, air conditioning with rear controls, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, Bluetooth telephone and audio connectivity and four-speaker audio system with CD player, satellite radio, USB port and media interface player.
The LX adds LED headlight trims, power folding exterior mirrors, roof racks, tinted rear windows, backup camera, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat (with two-way power lumbar support), two high – additional speakers for the audio system and a 4.3-inch touchscreen with voice commands and Kia Uvo eServices emergency communications.
The EX adds 18-inch alloys, fog lights, heated mirrors, height-adjustable power tailgate, power sliding doors, keyless ignition and access, leather upholstery, heated front seats, box lower glove compartment refrigerated, one automatic climate control rearview mirror per zone, rear sun visor, two additional USB ports and an eight-speaker Infinity audio system with HD radio.
The SX incorporates LED taillights, an upgraded instrument cluster, four-way power lumbar support for the driver, driver memory settings, an eight-way power passenger seat, heated second row seats, ventilated front seats, selectable drive modes (affecting shift points and direction), 115-volt power outlet, 8-inch touchscreen, navigation system, voice commands and warning system blind spot with rear cross traffic alert.
The SX-L leads the line with 19-inch wheels, dual power sunroofs, front and rear parking sensors, a heated steering wheel, upgraded leather upholstery, and second row seats with backrests. winged airplane-style head and extendable legrests.
The Sedona’s front row is exceptionally attractive, with a two-tone instrument panel and upholstery, and easy-to-use center console controls.
Some of the standard features of the higher versions can be added to the lower trim levels via two sets of options. The LX Convenience package adds the refrigerated glove box, heated front seats, power sliding doors, a 4.3-inch screen with Uvo, a rear view camera and rear sun visors. EX Premium Package adds four-way lumbar support, driver memory functions, power front passenger seat, heated first and second row seats and Blind Spot Warning System with Cross Traffic Alerts back.
Available only on SX and SXL models, the Technology package, which adds xenon headlights with automatic high beam control, a panoramic parking camera system, a lane departure warning system, a cruise control adaptive speed control, a forward collision warning system and 115- volt power outlet in the cargo area. The Technology Package must be ordered to add seating for eight to the SX and SXL models.
Notable stand-alone options on all trims include a tow hitch and rear entertainment system with a single flip-up screen mounted to the rear of the center console.
