There are so many things that jump out at you about the 2021 Toyota Sienna.
First, it is a hybrid. In fact, it’s just a hybrid. Owners should really appreciate the fuel mileage this Sienna Hybrid will provide. Expect a combined mpg in the 35-36 range. A major advantage here.
Then there is plenty of room for up to eight passengers. The middle rows slide forward and backward up to 25 inches. This allows great versatility and flexibility for the middle and third row passengers.
I find the new smart and easy to store deck deck quite impressive. Talk about a bold first impression. So many things stand out with this fourth-generation 2021 Toyota Sienna.
One thing that isn’t necessarily obvious is the location of the spare tire.
Toyota Sienna 2021 spare tire
Frankly, we hope we never have to think of the spare tire with our vehicles. I mean, who wants a flat tire?
Fortunately, this doesn’t happen very often for most drivers.
Although my younger sister once had six punctures in a single year. Long story. But I digress. Back to the original story.
The 2021 Sienna is offered in LE, XLE, XSE, Limited and Platinum. All versions are available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
RELATED VIDEO: A friend of mine, Christina Banks, who works at Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh, made a video showing the location and details of the spare tire. I thought it might help add some visual to the topic.
Each trim level comes standard with a tire repair kit. No spare wheel. However, for a minor factory fee of $ 75, a temporary spare tire can be added before leaving the manufacturing plant.
When you add the spare tire, it isn’t where you think it might be. It is not found under his as in previous years.
Rather, you’ll find it hidden vertically in the wall of the rear cargo area. Out of the way. Like a wall hidden in a haunted mansion of a Scooby-Doo mystery.
Very intelligent engineering.
It’s time for your comments on Siena 2021
The only negative point regarding the location of the spare wheel concerns the middle seat. This reserved cargo space cutout was previously used to stow this removable center seat in the second row.
Now for the many positives. I find the all-new 2021 Toyota Sienna to be smooth and comfortable. It’s also quiet at slower cruising speeds and on the highway.
